Facilities are available for regular experiments and research activities at both graduate and undergraduate levels. This department is an approved center for PhD research work. The department has set up a microcomputer laboratory with LAN facilities which enables Computer Aided Design projects

ACTIVITIES

The department faculty are actively engaged in research and consulting work in areas like environmental pollution control, water and waste water analysis, energy auditing and management, polymeric and composite material processing, computer software development, process development/upgrading, testing and analysis, etc. Many large scale and small scale industrial concerns have availed consulting services from this department.

The department maintains a departmental library sponsored by the staff and old students. This has been catering to the needs of the students for the past 12 years.

A placement cell has been functioning in the department under the guidance of the staff and with active participation of the students for conducting campus interviews and placement by prominent industrial houses.

The Trichur Regional Center of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers organizes its activities jointly by the staff of this department and Chemical Engineering professionals from various companies in the Thrissur-Aluva-Kochi area.

The Chemical Engineering Association provides a forum for the students for interaction with experts from industries and with alumni of the department.
