The following laboratories are attached to the department .

• Microprocessor Laboratory

The above laboratories are well equipped with sophisticated instruments and systems like solid state motor controllers, laboratory model power systems including transmission lines, relay testing equipment, real time data acquisition and control equipment, PlO controller, analog computer, microprocessor development system, Local Area Network, digital storage oscilloscope, etc.

ACTIVITIES

Apart from the routine projects associated with undergraduates & graduate programmes the department is undertaking many projects of social relevance like energy audit, study of electrical distribution systems in rural areas and townships, microprocessor based energy meter for spot billing, etc.

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Association attached to the department organizes seminars and workshops in areas of special interest using the services of experts and academicians.

There is a vibrant IEEE student chapter which is actively engaged in various activities with the objective of inculcating leadership qualities and for individual development of the students at large.
